Time Travelling Is Selfish

Time travelling is selfish It only benefits the person who travels back in time You cannot go back and write a wrong And assume that everything will course correct itself in the future And everything will be perfect This isn't Bill & Ted This isn't Quantum Leap If you go back in time then you simply cease to exist In this world at least Time travelling is selfish Hypothetically speaking if you were from "Timeline A" And you travelled back to 1920 And shot Hitler in the face When you returned back to the future You may have changed history for the better But you are now existing in a new timeline "Timeline B" Time travelling is selfish But everyone in "Timeline A" still exists And everything that happened still happened And the only thing that is different is that You no longer exist in that timeline You now solely exist on this branch of reality called "Timeline B" And both realities are running parallel alongside each other So what about everybody else? Time travelling is selfish Everything that happened in "Timeline A" Up to the point of you travelling back in time Still exists as you carry it across with you And it can never be removed from you Because it made you, you And it made you go back in time in the first place And change things And so changing it will either erase you or Wipe out all of existence Or you won't even be aware that anything bad ever happened But the likeliest of scenarios is that you're creating fractures And doubling the amount of suffering For every single person in both versions of this planet It's just selfish Time travelling is selfish Yes, you may be sharing this new timeline With another version of you And yes, they may look exactly like you And everyone you know may or may not exist But the universe is far too chaotic and Every single thing is a lottery of random magnitudes And so the chances of you being born the way you currently are Are 1 in 400 trillion So it stands to reason that Creating any form of quantum interruption Then meeting the same version of yourself In another timeline is basically ludicrous You're most likely a different gender Different height, different face The only thing that will remain is that you now have to carry Two separate histories of pain and Horror And human suffering Time travelling is selfish
