Religion Is Division

I've been cursed since birth and now I'm looking for a church I'm ready to dive in head first but it seems like the pulpit is reversed As I walked into the church it struck me as odd at first Until I realized the devil was leading the service And everyone was knee deep in worship Now take me to church Till this day I still walk by faith but weight of the load gets heavy some days I'm tired Wait a minute Give me a second to ask the ultimate question Does God even still reside in the church Take me to church. I'm tired of fighting I'm tired of surviving One day at a time I'm sitting here slowly dying Gotta start living start remembering faith is what we're born with God made the playing field even So what you gonna do with what you've been given I'll admit it at times walking by faith becomes a burden The challenge is enormous it's a difficult calling I'm feeling like I'm falling Losing my faith Doubt written all over my face But if a mustard seed can move mountains I'm guessing my mind is Jedi Minded I remember the days I was just surviving living was non existent Now sitting in this booth searching for the truth got me thinking Do I have to choose a denomination of religious organizations Only concerned with my spending contributions This is why I don't want to be associated Not even affiliated with religion so tired of the division God is love a spiritual bond peace love music United we stand divided we continue falling This is why I don't want to be associated Not even affiliated with religion so tired of the division God is love a spiritual bond This is why I don't want to be associated Not even affiliated with religion so tired of the division Damn tithes have become so expensive For no other reason than having your leaders riding around in Beamers Benz and Bentleys Showing off the glow the freeze of the Rollie on the wrist While you and the kids are at risk starving And have no choice but to beg and plead the government for public assistance Can you feel it The eerie stillness These churches busy becoming businesses by dirty business men Profits over Prophets get it Do I really need a religious leader to validate me As if he's gonna open up the gates for me Nah I know my worth I'm God's son A survivor who only gets stronger no time To be weak in a world that only grows colder This is why I don't want to be associated Not even affiliated with religion so tired of the division God is love a spiritual bond peace love music Untied we stand divided we continue falling This is why I don't want to be associated Not even affiliated with religion so tired of the division God is love a spiritual bond peace love music United we stand divided we continue falling This is why I don't want to be associated Not even affiliated with religion so tired of the division We can sit here in this condition crying in this position till we're blue in the face But until we as a race and no I'm not talking about the color of your face Until we decide to run this master race Why don't we all pull up a chair and talk face to face Spread the love That could be our only saving grace We have to strive to vibrate to our highest frequencies Start finding our inner peace and stop chasing that shit we ain't never gonna need We supposed to be looking out for one another man Not taking advantage of each other Unity is all we need We gotta start vibrating to our highest frequencies
