I had a long day working in my grocery store
It was around five o'clock, I couldn't do it no more
So I decided to close the shop and call it day
I turned off the lights, washed my hands
I got outside and saw an old man
He was down and out, waitin' for me
He took off his hat, bowed his head
"I'm hungry, Sir" was all he said
