There was a time when I was so confused
About the Trinity
I would always stop and wonder
Why the Father works in threes
So I prayed to the Lord for an answer
And I'm glad that He made me see
The reason He loves in Triplicate
Is because He cares for me
I thank the Father for what He's planned
I pray to Jesus to take my hand
I seek the Spirit to make a stand
So that I might walk in the Light
He multiplied His goodness to make me whole
Sent Jesus to regain my soul
Charged that His Spirit should take control
It's a Spiritual Equation
Where 3 = 1 is right
Like an apple that's cut into pieces
It's still gonna taste the same
Just because it's three instead of one
Well, you still call the fruit by its name
So the Lord in His infinite wisdom
Has given us three ways to call
And we won't be confused by the Fruit of His love
As long as we eat it all
