Lainey Wilson often calls herself an overnight sensation a decade in the making. The Louisiana native and self-described late bloomer first moved to Nashville in 2011 and has been gigging her heart out ever since—often, as things go in Music City, to little or no acclaim. But that finally began to change around 2019: Her songs were featured in the TV hit Yellowstone, she joined Morgan Wallen and Jason Aldean on tour, and she released singles like “Things a Man Outta Know” and “Heart Like a Truck” that became gigantic hits.
