Between Khobar and California, Brij Entertainment founder Saüd Al-Turki makes music with a global mindset. From the lush layers of “Dance Alone” to the glacial beat that underscores “Oh My God”, this set of scorching rap salvos fuses hip-hop energy with the rhythms of the Middle East. Inspired by hip-hop pioneers like J Dilla and Madlib, beatmaker Saüd moved to LA in 2011 to study while pursuing music. His subsequent collabs with a mix of Arab and American artists including Omar Offendum, pre kai ro and King Los align to form a tangible picture of hip-hop’s border-blurring frontier.
