Paris-born William Sheller had the privilege of witnessing pop's Big Bang in real time. In his late teens, The Beatles changed his life, steering him to channel his conservatoire chops into gorgeously orchestrated French pop for the ages, rich with melody and lush arrangements. He led Les Irrésistibles and Les Pires, became a sought-after arranger to rival Jean-Claude Vannier, and eventually moved back into classical music. Throughout each incarnation, his unique melodic sensibility and tremulous vocals have remained a constant.
