Terius “Juvenile” Gray was already a local hero in the New Orleans bounce scene when he teamed up with Cash Money Records in the late ‘90s. His sticky drawl and infectious flows were a perfect combination with Mannie Fresh's propulsive beats on “Ha” and the perennial club banger “Back That Azz Up”. Working with other producers brought the smooth summer jam “Slow Motion” and the whistle-driven “Nolia Clap”, and it set the stage for his 2006 Atlantic debut. Recorded after the Katrina disaster, Reality Check excoriated the government and media response on the menacing “Get Ya Hustle On”.
