Raised in south London, R’n’B singer Pritt draws on the carnatic musical training of her youth and the diasporic mix of the English capital’s culture to create an enthralling snapshot of modern London life. Her breakout 2020 single “Identity”, taken from her debut album Transparency, is an anthem of female empowerment, pairing her melismatic vocals over a sparse trap beat, while her collaboration with producer and rapper S.A.M. resulted in the 2021 album Take 2 , producing tracks like the nocturnal atmospheres of “Smoke & Mirrors” and yearning duet “Common Denominator”.
