About The Tremblers
Artist Biography
In the early 80s, this project was a means whereby its instigator, Peter Noone (b. 5 November 1947, Manchester, England; vocals), tried once more to re-enter the pop arena on a footing far removed from his previous incarnation as the ‘Herman’ in Herman’s Hermits. ‘The Tremblers’ was actually a blanket term for him plus those who assisted in the recording of, and what concert promotion there was for Twice Nightly, an album whose content was reflected in contemporary interviews during which Noone professed a liking for new wave acts like the Pretenders and Elvis Costello, and inserted the odd un-Herman-like swear word. Among studio helpmates on the record were John Farrar, Darryl Dragon, Nigel Olssonand Dave Clark. As few were able to disconnect Noone-Herman from his past, the Tremblers idea was abandoned - though some of those involved were retained for a Noone solo album in 1982.
