About Shorty LeBlanc
Artist Biography
LeBlanc is best remembered as the accordionist on the bluesy "Sugar Bee" by Cleveland Crochet and his Hillbilly Ramblers, which climbed to #80 in the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1961. LeBlanc's performance was Cajun accordion played to sounds such as amplified blues harmonica. Sidney Brown was an accordion maker and repairer who scored a regional hit with "Pestauche Ah Tante Nana" ("The Peanut Song"). ~ Mark A. Humphrey
