Artist Biography
By the time Shirley Temple was six years old, she was a movie star of the first magnitude. After taking dancing lessons from the age of three, she came to prominence singing "Baby Take A Bow" in the 1934 musical STAND UP AND CHEER. Throughout the rest of the '30s she sparkled in movie musicals, and from out of these simple yet enormously popular films, came pop standards like "On The Good Ship Lollipop" and "Animal Crackers In My Soup." In 1934, Temple was awarded a special (miniature) Academy Award for her contributions to film.
