About Phantom Soul
Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory was back in 2010 when I first heard the song, These tears by Spiritchaser. My cousin was preparing for their wedding dance when I heard the song play. Since that day I loved music more than anything.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Da Muziqal Chef, Muziqal Fiesta JazziDisciples, Disciples of Piano Phantom Soul, Mtejane The JazziDisciples album reminds me of a time when amapiano artists created music passionately and put in everything they had to give us good music. Musiqal Fiesta is an album that helped me get through rough patch. Mtejane was my first album.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Nkosazana(Vuma) [feat. Mdu Trp]” I grew up loving the original house song by Euphonik, Bhutiza, and Lolo, so I decided to make an Amapiano remake, which turned out even better than I had hoped. This song inspired me to write better songs and set a new standard for my music.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The day I released Lesson No. 1 and it got numbers immediately. It usually takes 2-3 months for me to see results but with this song less than 5 days in and I got 1k streams across platforms.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I still have a lot of music to make and share with the world and I won't stop till everyone knows my name.
