William Cashion of Future Islands and Bruce Willen of Double Dagger formed the ambient duo Peals in their home city of Baltimore in early 2012. The two multi-instrumentalists put their punky, indie rock sensibilities to the side on this project, concentrating instead on atmospheric loops. After creating a website that cleverly allowed users to manipulate and remix the 16 tracks of "Furniture," Peals announced that Thrill Jockey would be releasing the debut album Walking Field in 2013, and that they had plans to do a small tour with an emphasis on art shows. ~ Jason Lymangrover
