About Paul Jones
Artist Biography
Vocalist Paul Jones rose to fame in the 1960s during the height of the British Invasion era and went on to a long and varied career as one of the strongest and most adaptable singers in U.K. rock and blues. Jones first broke through as the lead singer of Manfred Mann, appearing on their international hit "Do Wah Diddy Diddy," then launched a solo career in 1966 with the LP My Way. He divided his time between music and acting, starring in the films Privilege (1967) and The Committee (1868) and cutting albums such as Come into My Music Box (1969) and Crucifix in a Horseshoe (1972) before finding new success in the 1980s as the lead singer with the Blues Band (1980's Ready). Jones revived his solo career in the 2000s with 2009's Starting All Over Again and 2015's Suddenly I Like It.
