About Goldy Locks
Artist Biography
Hailing from Minneapolis, Goldy Locks was raised in a music-rich environment by parents who had christened her "Moon Shadow" after the song by Cat Stevens. Obsessed by music, she bought her first keyboard by selling snack foods to her Catholic schoolmates during weeks when they would be adhering to a limited diet. She soon had purchased guitars and a violin, teaching herself to play the instruments. Toughened by growing up in a poor neighborhood, Goldy Locks was persistent in her quest to become a musician and managed to gain studio time with former players in the Time, which garnered her opening spots for acts that included Pink. She caught the attention of Futuristic Records and they released her single "Kiss" in 2000, which became a regional hit. Through her website, she had cultivated fans in Latin America, France, and Japan, where she performed a number of times. She also attracted attention as a host for NWA/TNA's pay-per-view wrestling telecasts. ~ Tom Demalon
