They each stand among the leading names of Canada’s glittering Punjabi music scene, so it’s surprising that rapper-singer AR Paisley, lyricist Chani Nattan and MC Inderpal Moga joined forces only as recently as April 2024 on the banger “What’s Beef”. That track was a teaser to this album on which Nattan and Moga reveal their romantic sides while providing the Punjabi hooks to Paisley’s vibrant English verses on tunes such as the wedding-themed “Mehndi”, the contemplative “Seasons” and the party-ready “Dancer”. Elsewhere, the made-for-gedi “Block Boys” is closer to the pair’s trademark vibe.
